Burrowing Owl Merlot 2021 is a rich and structured red from the Black Sage Bench in BC's Okanagan Valley. The nose opens with toasty oak, dark chocolate, black plum, and blackberry, with complex notes of coffee, tobacco, and clove. Full-bodied on the palate with ripe soft tannins, bright acidity, and flavours of black cherry, violet, sage, and cocoa. Built with the structure to cellar for a decade or enjoyed now with a decant.
