Bozal Tobasiche is a single maguey mezcal made from wild Tobasiche agave (a member of the Karwinskii family), which takes 12 to 13 years to mature, in Oaxaca, Mexico. Bottled at 47% ABV, it opens with unconventionally sweet notes of quince, anise, and cooked agave, leading to a savory, dynamic palate of mesquite, turned earth, rosemary, wet clay, black pepper, and anise, finishing with strong mineral and rich herbaceous botanicals.
