5 Sentidos Pechuga Guerrerense is an ancestral mezcal made by Maestro Mezcalero Refugio Calzada in Guerrero, Mexico, using agave Papalote (Cupreata) as the base. In a traditional pechuga distillation, a basket containing free-range hen, raisins, pineapple, cinnamon, and almonds is suspended in the still during the final distillation, imparting extraordinary complexity. The result delivers herbal pineapple, peanut, caramel, rosemary, spearmint, and pine on the palate, with a clean, explosive finish.
