Cabernet Sauvignon from Bodegas Escorihuela Gascon's 1884 range in Mendoza, Argentina. The nose reveals aromas of cassis, ripe wild berries, black pepper, aromatic herbs, vanilla and cloves. On the palate, it has a juicy and enveloping character with round tannins, generous flavours of cassis, tea leaf, sweet spice and graphite, and a lingering finish. Aged eight months in French oak, adding toast and complexity.
